Hokes
Bluff Elementary School is one of many schools in the Etowah County
School District that receives federal dollars for the purpose of
providing supplemental support to identified students. At Hokes Bluff
Elementary School the support is in the core academic subjects such as:
reading, math, social studies, science, and writing. Title I designation to schools is based on the percentage of free/reduced lunch
participation. Our goal is to have every child reading and writing on
grade level. The objective of our Title I Program is to promote
accelerated learning so that students catch up to their peers, close the
gap as quickly as possible, and continue to learn independently. A copy
of our school's CIP is located in the school resource room. Questions
relating to the plan may be referred to Connie Lowman, Title I
Coordinator or Dr. Charles Gardner, Principal.
